Most people enjoy the opportunity to further explore their interests online - the internet can be a way to connect with our world as well as a welcome escape from everyday life.
During our projects(generally working with children) we have approached this in three different ways.
Supervised access
Many children know how to use a computer, and what they want to do when they get on. All that is required is supervision.
Assisted access
Other children require more of a helping hand. For some it might mean somebody else actually clicking the mouse for them. For many it will mean constant recommendations on what they can do next, and where they can find it.
Home access
We also provided several children with laptops and internet access which they could use during the holidays under parental supervision.
